Hey loves! So I thought long and hard about character design, and I felt that since the envelope is the only thing that is really repeated, I would just deal with character design in the dummy/sketches. SOO..I moved onto the sketch phase directly. Here are the first few pages. I was going to try and have all of them finished by thursday...we will see. LOL!! Anyway, here they are! Please comment and critique. These are just the sketches, and so all comments are really useful so that the finals turn out stellar! THANK YOU!!!

First three pieces

Hi all! Here are my latest pieces. The Water Pygmy, the Maiden of the Air, and the scene right before he discovers the fireball inside of the Fire Fish!! I had the most fun with the water pygmy spread, but I thought that it was important to get a few people in my portfolio, and really focus on lighting and color. So, without further ado, here is the work.

So, at post-midterm (since Whitney was sick for my midterm), Whitney basically looked me in the face and said "so you REALLY plan on going through the whole semester...without finishing ANYTHING, just having in-progress work." And we both decided that was kind of ridiculous. So she asked me to finish pages, instead of just trying to INK THEM ALL.
So here's my first leap into that.



It's not quite finished yet! There should be a border added, and of course, a lot of text explaining shit (I've been so secretive about that), but this far-along-work-in-progress is way open for crit!

Finished dummy, except for that whole text thing..blahhhh

Hi ladies! Here is my dummy completed and ready to print.  I'm planning on working with Joyce, the lady who is taking over for Rebecca when she goes on maternity leave.  I'm hoping that since she is a graphic designer, she will be able to give me some good pointers on text and layout.  But please crit me on all of it! Illustrations and layout, everything! Every critique is helpful! 

This weeks work

This week i am slightly behind but i should be able to catch up just fine. Next week thumbnail sketches are due for me and here is what i need to finish this weekend by the latest

So far the initial comments i get are that it is a little plain. Im thinking of adding in a lot of pattern and some interesting nick nacks and maybe some shape to the furnature to give it a little more style and to really bring it up a notch. So far its mostly a color lay in and some other things. It doesnt needed to be crit-ed if you dont want to i just want to try and get in the habit of posting every week XD
