Here is my stuff for last week and partly this week, but I'm just gonna say for last week as well. :D

Hey ladies! These are my character designs for last week and some of this week. For all intents and purposes, I am just going to say that this was all last weeks homework, and that for next Thursday, I will have a mock-up of one of these in pastel.  Thanks ladies! Sorry I am such a procrastinator too...*sheepish grin.*

Process sketches continued

First up is a "three-quarter" view of the palace layout, situated on its cliff with the road leading down to the harbor. I also did a revised design for emperor Taurun, taking the suggestion of emphasizing the bird theme and designing a mask for him based off a large bird skull.

Next, some uniform design for the royal guards (and scribbly notes that may or may not be too messy to read). Royal guards are not the same as military soldiers, in fact, Taurun hand-picks sons of families in his kingdom who are affected less by the war, in order to promote loyalty and a friendly, warm environment for the home of his family.

Next up on the "places of interest" list is a brothel in the neighboring country of Mocor (under imperical control) called Adyti (latin root sanctuary). This is a preliminary sketch of Akale, the owner and maternal matron of Adyti, and foster mother to one of the focal characters in the story. Like with the last design, there will probably be some revision made before I finalize her looks and accessories.

Lastly is a rough sketch of the same kind of "three quarter" view of Adyti itself, which is on a hill surrounded by cliffs and trees, and a very basic floorplan illustrating the layout of the building.

I'm so long-winded, I'm sorry! I'm also sorry for this post coming in late. Time to go and give commentary!

Pickle Jar

Ah, some of my containers... I think I'm behind schedule.

Since I'm going to be designing a marketplace, I feel like though even the most normal things (like a bowl or a jar) are a little visually ridiculous, they can occur in the real world. And makes the merchants' lives a little less thankless.

Now I want to think about more temporary packaging, i.e. a box of cupcakes that you'll eat in a week after your friend ditches you for your ex.

concept art for the first 3 pages i have done (so far) showing the design for the hauvesch animal the ritehen

Im still debating weather or not i should go the super clean route or keep to the texture feel. Im really really worried about this idea and if in the end the whole texture thing will work out and look as nice as i want it too.

lemme know what you think

now that i have actually done a page with color though i have a little more hope for the concept of the book and think it might end up looking pretty snazzy.
